Cordel Group PLC (AIM: MNO), the Artificial Intelligence platform for transport corridor analytics, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Nicholas Wayne as Vice President Americas.
Nick was most recently a senior executive with Airbus’ Intelligence business in North America. As head of business development, Nick was responsible for all revenue-generating activities as well as growing the team and the business at large.
Prior to Airbus, Nick spent three years at Skyward, a SaaS drone operations management software
company. He was a member of the founding team and lead business development from 2014 through to acquisition by Verizon in early 2017. Prior to his career in the technology industry, Nick spent five years with Wells Fargo as lender and relationship manager in their commercial banking division.
Andrew Pearson, CEO of Cordel, commented:
Nick is a perfect fit to lead our expansion into North America. He has the rare combination of experience and industry knowledge, including in the rail industry, that will enable us to fast track our business growth in the region.”
Ian Buddery, Chairman of Cordel, commented:
“The board believes there is a significant opportunity in the Americas for our products and services and we are delighted to have secured Nick’s appointment, which will be a significant factor in our growth plan for FY2021. Over time, we expect to have sales, marketing and technical staff in the USA, mirroring our operations elsewhere.”
